DESCRIPTION: American Waltham Watch Co.,Waltham, Mass., model 1899 "Riverside Maximus", 16 size, 23 jewels, stem wind and set, adjusted to 6 positions, temperature, and isochronism, ornately damascened nickel plate movement, with lever escapement, diamond endstones, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws, gold wheel train and whiplash micrometric regulator, in a 14 karat yellow gold, hinged back and bezel, open face case, and Arabic numeral, double sunk white enamel dial, plum colored steel moon hands, serial #16177759, 107g TW, c1910.
CONDITION: CASE: Case has housed another movement; Minor dent, back; Dings and pin pricks; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Minor scratches on crystal; Bow replaced; Crown worn; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairline in enamel, very light, 6:00; Flake in enamel concealed by bezel, 1:30; Small chips at edge of seconds bit. HANDS: Replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Winding wheels with minor specks of oxide; Regulator assembly with minor specks of oxide; Some screw slots with minor marring; Specks of dirt / dust.
